Our most powerful weapon is prayer! We believe God wants to do something extraordinary with Gen Z. This is the first generation to grow up with the internet from birth. Anything they want to know is instantly at their fingertips. They have seen everything imaginable, whether intentionally or unintentionally, if you get my drift.

In California, everything is legal and accessible—there are no restrictions; and yet they are the most suicidal and depressed generation. The suicide rate among teens after COVID rose by 400%! We’ve never seen such devastating numbers for a younger generation. Isolation, anxiety, and self-harm are at an all-time high. They are far more socially underdeveloped than any generation we’ve ever seen, mainly due to the COVID lockdowns.

However, transformation is taking root. We're witnessing Gen Z on social media unashamed sharing their personal experiences with Jesus Christ to give renewed hope to anyone who clicks and swipes! This generation is desperate for truth, yearning for something genuine and authentic.

Footprints on Campus: August 11-15

Footprints on Campus is part of the Symphony of Prayer, a nationwide initiative running through August and September to surround schools and students with prayer. Just as a symphony combines unique instruments into one breathtaking composition, this movement brings together churches, ministries, parents, students, and prayer warriors from every background in unified, powerful intercession. 

85% of people who follow Christ do so before the age of 15. In 2024 alone, nearly 2,000 schools were covered in prayer during Footprints week — and more than 1,000 were adopted for yearlong prayer.

It’s working. Students are being reached. Culture is shifting. Hearts are softening. But we need more voices. More prayers. More footprints. 

Go to a local school and claim that ground in faith. Show up in person and cover a school or detention facility in prayer during August 11–15. This invitation is open to all leaders, ministers, parents, and community members who want to see teens’ lives radically changed by Jesus.

This September begins our fourth school year. And, we're excited as ever to get boots on the ground and start praying. Look for our prayer teams praying September 2nd, one hour, one day a week in front of the high schools. Our mission is to have a prayer team of two at every California public high school.
