One Student At A Time

We're off to a great start with prayer teams at over thirty high schools and rapidly adding more volunteers to assist our teams. One comment I hear often from new volunteers is, "I wish I had someone praying for me during my high school years." And, my reply, "Me too!"
In recent weeks, we've come across multiple news reports about the tragic and senseless killings of innocent individuals, including Charlie Kirk, 23-year-old Iryna Zarutska, and two children, aged 8 and 10, who lost their lives while praying at mass.
Our hearts are heavy with grief and sorrow; pondering "why" and feelings of fear cross our minds and yet we know the answer is Ephesians 6:12.
"For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places."
As a parent of four, I can only imagine the heart-wrenching pain that the shooters' parents must feel. The parental prayer journey of a prodigal son or daughter is pained with many nights of tears and laboring words to our Lord and Savior. God hears our prayers and gave us the most beautiful picture of His grace in the parable of the prodigal son, Luke 15:11-31.

Nevertheless, Jesus also recognized that the waiting period for the return of the prodigal child can be challenging and offers us guidance in Matthew 9:38.
"Pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest: ask him to send more workers into the fields." NLT

I believe our volunteers are the answer to a parent's prayers! Each week, we are on the sidewalks offering students in need comfort, love, hope, Biblical truth, guidance, and a listening ear.

Yesterday, I got a message from our first prayer team in Alabama, letting me know that they prayed with about 30 students in 93-degree heat. And, two students from their church's youth group assisted in praying with the other students. The youth are desperate for the love of Jesus and the hope of His saving grace.
Our teams are saving the next generation one student at a time. Come join us!
