"It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit." President Harry S. Truman
These past couple of weeks have been a whirlwind of appearances for our Operation PRAY team at several high school club meetings and outreaches. Two in particular were extraordinary!
Last September, Michelle Reyes and Velina Montoya formed a prayer group at Los Osos, their sons' high school. From the beginning, the students reacted positively to their after-school prayers, and the number continues to increase weekly.
In early January, the president of the Los Osos Christian club had partnered with Decision Point (an evangelical non-profit that exists to proclaim the gospel to the next generation), to host an outreach event and was looking for a guest speaker to present the gospel message. She contacted me to see if I knew anyone. It just so happened two weeks earlier, I was connected to Ross Johnston through a friend of mine. Johnston is a revivalist and co-founder of California Will Be Saved who was born by artificial insemination and raised by two lesbian moms. His heart burns for Revival, the preaching of the gospel, loving Jesus and uniting the church. He is also on the frontlines for the kingdom of God believing that now is the time for a move of the Spirit of God. I believed he would be ideal for their event if he was available. Indeed, he was, and that day we witnessed a powerful move of God during lunch in their high school gym in Rancho Cucamonga!

Johnston shared the Gospel Message in approximately twelve minutes, followed by an invitation for students to receive Jesus into their hearts.

I watched from the side of the gym as students walked forward to pray the Prayer of Salvation with him; not just a few, but they emptied the seats! I could hardly contain my tears of joy! Their hearts were ready and primed to receive the One and Only that can save them.
The next week, we met Johnston at Centennial's Christian club meeting. These meetings occur during both lunch periods, with approximately seventy-five to a hundred students attending each session.

The guest speaker is allotted about ten to fifteen minutes to talk. Johnston shared parts of his personal testimony and the Gospel message.

Once again, I was positioned at the back and to the side of the crowd, observing him as he spoke. The students were deeply engaged and attentive to his message.
When he extended the invitation to welcome Jesus into their hearts, the response was just as before—nearly everyone stepped forward!
Given this was a weekly gathering, I assumed most students would have already recited the Prayer of Salvation; however, their enthusiasm to embrace Jesus that day suggested otherwise!
Following the extraordinary events, I spoke with Johnston, who remarked, "You know I'm just working in tandem with you. Its like Mark 4. Operation PRAY has been sowing the seeds for months at these high schools, and I'm here to gather the harvest." I got to thinking, he's right. Teachers hosting the weekly club meetings, our teams praying weekly with students and over schools, Decision Point hosting weekly outreaches, and thousands of parents praying daily for their teenagers are witnessing the harvest of Gen Z souls! Hallelujah!
"But these are the ones sown on good ground, those who hear the word, accept it, and bear fruit: some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some a hundred.” Mark 4:20
